Internships abroad or in the home country

Hello everyone,

last english lessons we were talking about an british internship and an austrian internship. Some students of my class are going to fly to Dublin for two weeks at the end of this month. We were talking about the motivation and the reason why they want to get some work experience there and why some people decided to stay in Austria for the time, the other students spend in Dublin.
I am not going to Dublin because I cann't afford the flight and another reason maybe is that I never flew before and I could be afraid to go to Dublin by plane.

But there are many advantages of working in another country or spending some time abroad. You are able to learn the language better than in the classroom, because you cann't rely on your mother tongue. You have to find the right words or have to rewrite words with others if you don't remember the right one. Culture is another important thing because every country is different and they don't have the same customs and habits as in the home country.

Of course for some students there are problems with communication but nobody wants to miss this experience of completing an internship abroad.
But even an internship in Austria has its advantages for the students. They gain experience in the various companies and may be able to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. If the student liked this company, he could also ask for an internship for the summer holidays if this is possible.

There are not really many differences between an internship abroad an and internship in the home country. Except that a foreign language is better learned or the vocabulary for this language can get improved. The habits, the culture and the behaviour of the peope could be different, but your have to expect these things.

Thank you for reading my blog entry and tell me your opinion about this topic or if you gained some experiences abroad in the comments.

The fork is held in the left hand and the knife in the right hand while eating. Do not begin eating until the host or Hostess says "Mahlzeit" or "Guten Appetit". Finish everything on your plate. So you show the cook that it was good. You have finished eating by laying your knife and fork parallel on your plate. Now I want to tell you table manners and eating habits in our family. During the week, I never eat breakfast because I do not have enough time in the morning to eat something. When I have a long day at school, I eat something for lunch from the buffet at our school. If I have a short day, I take the bus and my mum usually cooks lunch f...
